I grew up in South Carolina, and the popular genre here is bluegrass. I grew up listening to Bluesgrass music and folk music. From Flatt & Scruggs, The Kingston Trio, Bob Dylan, Simon and Garfunkel, James Taylor to–well….this list could go on forever. 🙂 I really have always been very diverse in my love of music, and if a song touches me–I can play it over and over again.
How I really started to love the Blues was hosting at a Blues Venue, and the first Blues DJ I hosted there was The Riverside’s own DJ Raymond65 Docherty. I had hosted only House or electronic music venues for a year, and was ready for a change of pace. It was a wonderful transition for me to finally learn about the Blues. When Ray and Cid decided to open a Blues Venue, I was so fortunate and so happy that they asked me to host there and become part of The Riverside. I can honestly say, that I have
