What are we then? Well we’re still here. We have lots of ideas. We have learned lots of things and we still have lots of energy. We are more defined. We are growing. We have our niche now. We have an identity. When people talk about the Riverside now, the name means something. Friendly. Community. Integrity. Real.
The music brought us together. These other qualities are what keep us coming back to the Riverside. It is nice to know that when you come to the Delta that you will be greeted and treated like an old friend. It’s nice to know that you can be as big a part of the community as you want to and that you will be welcomed to do so. It is also nice to know that we are real. The people that make the Riverside what it is are genuine. They really are happy to see you and they aren’t bots or campers paid to drum up traffic.
We had such a great time with all of our staff and guests at our Jubilee. Some we hadn’t seen in awhile and it was sure great to have them come back. We have a wonderful community that truly is friendly and sure seem to enjoy being part of something bigger than just a club in Second Life. We are bigger than just a club. There is more to us. With the blog and now a Facebook account the RSB provides many ways to be part of the bigger community. To stay connected with the friends you have made on the Delta.
Sometimes the Riverside can feel like a job but it’s amazing that whenever I get to that point something really fun or rewarding happens and it becomes the farthest thing from work. There are so many great memories over the past year. This was the reason we collected all the pictures for everyone to look at and reminisce about – to relive some of those memories.
It was so incredible to Cid and I that the Riverside staff got together and bought us a horse rezzer for the Delta sim. It was an incredibly thoughtful gift and showed just how much you folks care about the Riverside. I have worked in a lot of clubs in Second Life and I have never seen a staff as dedicated as the one we have here. Thank you so much. Each and everyone of you. Extra thanks also go out to Moonie, Jezz & Grey, Xia and Web for providing free gifts for our patrons. This was above and beyond the call and was very appreciated.
Finally, thank you to all of our guests. Our friends. It is folks like you that have made the Riverside such a great experience and so much fun. We hope to see all of you in our second year. See ya on the Delta.
