Thanks again to Lightning Productions for doing a great job of putting on the SRV show at the Riverside. It was a great success with many people sending compliments to me for a great time. I am redirecting those compliments now to where they belong – to the Lightning Productions team. All I did was hire the band. So thank you to Daisey baroque, Thor Effingham, Tight Whiteberry, Crystalrose Lightworker, GeorgeRoger Wisent, Coz O’Kelly and Mate Darkfold.
After the George Thorogood show, I was quite surprised when I was talking to Daisey Baroque about future Lightning engagements at the RS that they had never put together an SRV concert before. So, as soon as I found out it was possible, I jumped at the chance of having the debut here. I have since requested some more blues related concerts such as Joe Bonamassa, Buddy Guy, an SRV tribute show and possibly BB King too. These will be debuts as well. Add to this, their already existing Blues Brothers revue and we will be doing one of these shows every other Sunday for the foreseeable future. Keep your eyes open as they are all sure to be great fun.
How about the crowd too? The sim was full before the show started with 50 avatars all ready and primed to go. It was about 30 minutes in when I IM’ed the sim owner about opening the Riverside for up for 60 avatars. Shortly after he agreed we were up against the avatar wall again. The sim stayed full for the rest of the show. As soons as someone left the sim a new person just as quickly arrived. It was like planes circling an airport waiting to land. Hopefully those that didn’t make it to this show will be able to get in for the next one. Thanks to all who joined us on the Delta for the show. Your prescence was greatly appreciated and it was nice to see and meet some new faces as well.
PS: I found this nice little review at the Being Yordie Sands blog.
